The region of Alentejo invites you to a ride or hike through a picturesque and diversity of landscape. Days are sunny & the culture invites you to explore. Cork oak woodlands, sunflower fields and olive groves in the protected nature of Sudoeste Alentejano & Costa Vicentina National Park are guiding you towards the Atlantic Coastline of Alentejo, where you arrive in the peaceful Village of Vale da Telha. A place where rocky cliffs are guiding you towards idyllic sandy beaches inviting you for a relaxing day at the beach or to get ready to catch some dreamy waves with us.
The Village - Vale da Telha
Our Villa is situated in the village of Vale da Telha within the Sudoeste Alentejano & Costa Vicentina National Park. Through a doorstep of our backyard you end up directly in the hiking trail towards Praia da Arrifana. Other beautiful treks are reached within a few minutes. In a short 5 – 10 Minutes Ride stunning roads are guiding you to one of our three main surf destinations: Praia da Arrifana, Praia de Monte Clerigo & Praia da Amoreira. 10 Minutes apart you arrive in the Village of Aljezur, the home of eco-friendly cafes & shops.
Sudoeste Alentejano & Costa Vicentina National Park
We are located right in front of the coastline of Sudoeste Alentejano & Costa Vicentina National Park – known as one of the most stunning coastlines of Europe. The Nationalpark itself is offer you peaceful and isolated treks as a hiking paradise in front of our doorstep. Wild nature, unexplored path and a protected nature is awaiting you. Following those treks by walking or car you are reaching idyllic beaches surrounded by cliffs and nature. Many bird species can be spotted and as one of the last places of Europe you can be lucky to spot a otter in its natural environment.
Beaches
Praia da Arrifana, Praia de Monte Clerigo & Praia da Amoreira are just a few steps driving away from our Villa. Within a little longer ride, you are reaching other surfing beaches. Catch unforgettable waves and live your magic surf moment in the refreshing deep blue. The summer waves tend to be smaller than the winter waves. This is why it makes the summer months ideal for beginners and intermediates, and the winter for the more advanced surfers chasing the bigger waves.
