DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT

 

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “Cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie on your use of the website will be transferred to a server of Google in the USA and saved there. On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information to assess your use of the website, draw up reports on your website activities and to provide further services connected with the website and Internet use vis-à-vis the website operator.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

 

To protect your personal data the IP anonymization for Google Analytics has been activated. Within the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Google abbreviates the activated IP anonymization of your IP address before it is transferred to a server. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transferred to a server in the USA and abbreviated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be used in connection with other data by Google. Should we have further personal data of our website users, we will not use these for website tracking data purposes or link these with other non-personal data.

DEACTIVATION OF WEBSITE TRACKING BY WEBSITE USERS

 

You can prevent cookies being stored by setting your browser software accordingly. However, here we would point out that in such a case you cannot use all the functions of this – and other – website(s). USE OF THE ADVERTISING FUNCTION OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

 

 On this website, alongside the standard configuration of Google Analytics, Google Analytics functions are also used to support interest-related advertising based on the users’ surf behaviour. Here Google Analytics uses a third-party cookie by DoubleClick, to evaluate the data on the users’ surf behaviour on various websites. Using these data, statistical statements can be made on demographical data and fields of interest of website users. We expressly draw your attention to the fact that we are not able to see any information about the individual users, and the statistical data which we use cannot be traced back to specific users. After visiting our website, some of our website visitors will receive placements of our advertisements on other websites. This form of ad placement is known as re-marketing or re-targeting.

If you would like to object to this ad placement, we would recommend you use one of the above mentioned possibilities of deactivating the website tracking by a website user. What we collect and where:

 

Our site uses several forms that our customers can use to request information, products, and services. From these forms, we collect the following information: visitors contact information; including email addresses and phone numbers.

IP addresses (the internet address of a computer):

 

No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities, unless in the unlikely event of an investigation we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if required to do so by court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud). The statistics and log files may be preserved indefinitely and used at any time and in any way necessary to prevent security breaches.

IP addresses are logged to track a user’s session while the user remains anonymous. We analyze this data for certain trends and statistics, such as which parts of our site users are visiting and how long they spend there. In general, we do not link your ip addresses to anything personally identifiable to you. When the Surf & Yoga Portugal – CPT, LDA receives information about your session or about you, we may also use it for research or to improve our site and the services we offer you.

How secure is the information we collect?

 

Surf and Yoga Portugal – CPT, LDA makes every effort to follow industry standard security measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All financial information is encrypted during transmission, and our company databases are accessible only to internal employees.

What do we use this information for?

 

Contact information. We use your contact information to send you information about our company, services and to get in touch with you when necessary. Surf and Yoga Portugal – CPT, LDA respects guest privacy and will not sell or disclose guests’ personal information to any other person, business or third party.

Credit card data:

 

In order to guarantee reservations via all channels (telephone, website or smartphone application, but not restricted to), we require a full 16-digit debit/credit card number, name on the card, card type (we accept visa, mastercard or maestro), three-digit security code and the expiry date. Your debit/credit card details are only charged the required deposit depending on your booking conditions at the date of the booking. Reservations that are not cancelled before the amount of hours/days prior to arrival which is stated in your booking confirmation, the stated deposit is either refundable or not charged. Whereas cancelling within the restricted hours/days of arrival, will incur the deposit being non refundable or transferable. NO-Shows will be charged 100% of the booking total if you fail to cancel. 

The communication of all sensitive credit card information, is encrypted through the use of our secure server and your web browser. We do not retain live records of credit card information on our internet web servers after the booking and payment transaction have been completed.

Surf and Yoga Retreats – CPT, LDA indemnifies itself against all data use on reservations made via third party websites/agencies.

The site may provide links to other websites. Please be aware that once you leave the site and enter another website, you may be subject to different privacy practices and policies over which Surf and Yoga Portugal – CPT, LDA has no control and for which we are not responsible.

Photography & film:

 

On occasions Surf and Yoga Portugal CPT, LDA directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers or commissioned professionals may take photos or film at our property of guests, that can be used for such things as promotional purposes of the retreat, on either our website, social media accounts, or on print material. No permission is needed for this, but we do ask; if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, you are required to voluntarily leave the area where this is taking place. If your photographing or filming other guests not part of your group, that you seek permission from them first. Verbal consent is solicited as a goodwill gesture.

Changes to our privacy policy:

 We may change our privacy policy at any time. continued use of our websites signify that you agree to any such changes.
